Objective: In this presentation the preprosthetic treatment of a patient who had a tumor surgery on his left maxillary posterior region 10 years ago will be presented. Methods: Secondary epithelization vestibuloplasty has been planned under local anesthesia and an acrylic splint was applied for two weeks after surgery. After healing, traditional prothetic rehabilitation was made. Results: The patient had a good functional and aesthetics rehabilitation. Conclusions: Surgical procedures to improve the hard and soft tissues are necessary in many patients who are to receive prosthetics. Vestibuloplasty is a very useful surgical technique to enlarge the denture bearing areas. However recently, osseointegrated implants are thought when preprosthetic surgery have been mentioned. When patient's social condition, cost of bone grafting and implant surgery have been considered, traditional preprosthetic surgery techniques can not be abandoned. In our case, the patient has not sufficient bone for implant surgery and he did not accept contemporary techniques such as bone grafting for implant surgery. So that vestibuloplasty was applied.
