INTRODUCTION
The AADR Annual Meeting & Exhibition will provide scientists and researchers throughout
the world with the opportunity to present, discuss, and critique their investigations. All
scientific sessions will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. (See the complete schedule of events for the AADR/CADR Annual Meeting for more information).
The oral and poster sessions will be designed from accepted abstracts. If you are
involved in dental, oral, and craniofacial research, we urge you to submit an abstract for
consideration for presentation.
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION FEE New for 2010
At the recommendation of the Scientific Group Program Chairs, the AADR Board of Directors voted to implement a $50 abstract submission fee. The fee will cover the administrative costs of submitting and the scientific review of your abstract. The intent of the fee is to reduce the number of withdrawn abstracts from the meeting program. Abstracts that are withdrawn result in open poster boards and disruptions in oral sessions.
The abstracts submission fee is later deducted from your meeting registration fee, although the submission fee is non-refundable and is required for each abstract submission. Payment is by Visa, MasterCard, or American Express (no checks will be accepted).
Important Notes:
- A receipt and an abstract submission fee code will be e-mailed to the submitter.
- The code must be provided at the time of meeting registration to deduct $50 from the meeting
registration fee.
- As the abstract submission fee covers the administrative costs of submitting and reviewing your
abstract, the fee is non-refundable, even if your abstract is rejected or withdrawn.
In extreme financial hardship instances, the AADR can waive the submission fee but that does not
relieve the presenter from paying the applicable full registration fee by the presenter
pre-registration deadline date. Any person requesting a submission fee waiver must contact Emily
Sidla prior to September 18, 2009 explaining the financial hardship and why funding will be in place
by the pre-registration deadline. Click here to request a waiver due to financial hardship.
