BUSSADORI, Centro Universitário Nove de Julho, São Paulo, Brazil Objectives: The aim of the study was to evaluate microleakage in proximal slot of deciduos molars using eight different marks of glass ionomer. Methods: Fourty deciduos molars were selected from the Human Dental Bank of Mogi das Cruzes University underwent proximal slot cavities. They were then randomly divided into 8 groups and restored following the manufacturer specifications [G1 – Cimento antimicrobiano (Fórmula e Ação); G2 – ChemFlex™ (Dentsply); G3 – Densell® MPLC (Dental Medrano S.A); G4 – Maxxion R (FGM); G5– Ketac™ Molar Easymix (3M/ESPE); G6 – Vitremer (3M/ESPE); G7 - Vitro Fil LC (DFL) e G8 - Vitro Molar (DFL)]. After setting time, we performed waterproofing followed by submersion in blue methyilene during 4 hours. Molars were crosscut on a longitudinal fashion and three blinded examiners scored the microleakage from 0 to 3. Results: Groups 3, 6, 7 and 8 had similar scores and represented the lowest degree of microleakage. Group 1 had higher scores and represented the highest degree of microleakage. Conclusion: It was observed that the group that presented minor microleakage degree was the G7, however without difference statistics with the groups G3, G6 and G8. The G1 was the group that presented highest microleakage degree. | ||
