Sponsored by: Behavioral Sciences, Education Research | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Description: This symposium is jointly sponsored by ADEA and IADR Education Research Group on a timely issue of publication and data sharing ethics. For example, strategies for coping with mandatory disclosure of publications per NIH policy will be discussed. Drs. Ken Eaton and Helen Bests of the IADR Education Research Group, and members of the IADR Ethics Committee have assisted in the identification of the topics and speakers. a. Publication and data sharing ethics is of interest to both ADEA and AADR members. Electronic age offers unprecedented convenience of data sharing, and yet new challenges of compliance with research ethics. b. This symposium is aimed at dental educators, administrators, behavioral science investigators and biomedical science investigators. c. In-depth discussion will take place from several internationally renowned speakers who have, in their successful careers, as biomedical scientists, behavioral scientists, educators, editors, and administrators, managed complex issues related to publication and data sharing ethics. Audience participation is encouraged. d. The following subjects are planned to be covered: Publication issues in dentistry Data sharing: challenges in the electronic age and ethics Publication integrity Publication Issues Related to Clinical Trials | ||||||||||||||||||||
