Zerhouni, MD, will discuss his new "NIH Roadmap for Medical Research”, a series of initiatives designed to transform the nation's medical research capabilities and speed the translation of discoveries from the bench to the bedside. Developed with more than 300 nationally recognized leaders, the NIH Roadmap focuses on compelling opportunities in three areas: new pathways to scientific discovery, research teams of the future, and re-engineering the clinical research enterprise.
