The Potential Application of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) as an Approach in Host Modulatory Therapy for Adjunctive Treatment of Periodontitis

Sponsored by: Periodontal Research
Description: Various host-modulatory therapies (HMT) have been proposed as adjuncts to traditional periodontal therapies. TCM has evolved over 4000 years, and its clinical efficacy is attributable to immuno-inflammatory regulatory properties. This session will discuss current and potential applications of TCM as a HMT for the adjunctive treatment of periodontitis
