Measuring Perception in Dental Research

Description: Measurement of perception as providing meaning to sensory input will be discussed for visual response to tooth color and physical attractiveness; similarly, subjective responses to gustatory, olfactory, auditory, and some esthetic stimulation will be discussed. Psychophysical/statistical methods for relating objective physical characteristics to subjective perceptions will also be discussed
