Incentives and Barriers to International Collaborative Research

Sponsored by: NIDCR
Description: Overviews of four major ongoing studies will be presented, to provide a realistic set of expectations about planning, implementing and assessing multinational collaborative research. These funded projects cover basic, clinical and community-based research, and serve as cases to examine conceptual and methodological challenges, as well as practical solutions to such challenges. The expected outcome will be to inform the potential research grant applicant community and funding partners about realistic planning requirements, appropriate cross-cultural communication and ethical practices, as well as measurable performance indicators. This program is supported by NIDCR
