Continuing Professional Development: Refining Research Approaches for the Emerging Debates

Description: Methods for evaluating continuing professional development can include both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The objectives of this workshop are to examine the relationship of these methodologies to emerging debates which include the impact of commercialism on the availability and outcomes of continuing professional development options and the relationship of quality development tools such as clinical audit to the performance of the dental team. The workshop is directed to researchers at all levels. An interactive component will follow the speakers' presentations, during which participants within the workshop will be invited to present their own research experiences within a small-group format. Collaborative research opportunities will be discussed
