Description: Virus infection has been clearly associated with the development of oral neoplasm. Recently, evidence implicating bacterial infection in carcinogenesis has been reported. Antimicrobial peptides may prevent carcinogenesis and inhibit tumor growth. This session will mainly consider the link between the susceptibility to bacterial infection and oral cancer
