| Description: More children continue to die as a direct consequence of infectious disease in the world exacerbated by poor nutritional status and resulting in compromised host defense. Dr. Keusch will explore the extent of the interactions between nutrition, infectious disease and immunological response. The discussion will document the global epidemiology of nutrition and infection and will provide insight into the pathogenesis and treatment of specific infectious diseases.
