| Description: The systems for continuing professional development vary around the world. The objectives of this workshop are to identify organisational issues for continuing professional development, including accessibility, funding issues and regulatory frameworks. Needs, demands and participation patterns for different types of activities will be discussed together with the evidence for their effectiveness in improving the performance of the dental team and relevance to patients being treated. Perspectives will be provided for countries within Europe and Asia, as well as for the United States of America and Australia. The workshop is directed to researchers at all levels. An interactive component will follow the speakers’ presentations, during which collaborative research opportunities will be discussed |
