Amalgam to Tooth Colored Materials- Implications for Clinical Practice and Dental Education
* Poster files available online

Sponsored by: Dental Materials: VII - Others-Metallic, Education Research
Description: The controversy over the use of amalgam is ongoing, but the increasing use of tooth colored materials has major implications for dental practitioners and educators as well. The aims of this symposium, co-sponsored by the Dental Material Group and Educational Research, are to consider the evidence for this change in clinical practice and the impact it is having on the undergraduate dental curriculum. The agenda for both the materials researcher and educator has traditionally been separate, however, in presenting the issues from both perspectives it is hoped that common research themes may develop. This symposium is supported by Kerr Corporation and Ultradent Products
